This is one sweet little kettle. It heats water fast and then shuts itself off. Keeps the wife from burning down the house. What more could you ask for at this price? One Caution: The Kettle is NOT insulated & the outside gets hot - so be careful.

I love my Stailess Steel 10 cup Electric Kettle. Add a nice flavor to my kitchen!Much easier than turning on the stove.

I bought this electric kettle after our stovetop kettle stopped working properly. I have never owned an electric one before, I was skeptical that it would work as quickly or as safely as described, but I was wrong. It DOES boil a max-filled carafe full of water in about 60 seconds. It DOES shut itself off automatically. The red color is vibrant and elegant but somehow not too bright. I will say (for people with children) that the side gets hot so you can only carry it by the handle. But it's a very sturdy handle, and very easy to carry if it's filled to the maximum line. So I haven't burned myself or been inconvenienced in any other way at all.
