Pretty good,

My previous kettle of 6 years, the Phillips Essence, finally keeled over so I picked up a Breville one simply based on the reputation of the brand. So far I like it.
The water is quick to boil and the construction of the kettle itself is pretty good also it doesn't look bad at all. I thought about getting the stainless steel one but its heavier and more expensive. The lid opens smoothly with a touch of the button on the handle so there's not any pulling involved which is great.
My only gripe is that it doesn't have a chime for when the water is done boiling. Not a huge deal but still a small inconvenience, usually Breville thinks about those small things and does something about it.
Now if this lasts me for like 5+ years I'll be truly a happy customer.
bad smell/taste,

I tried to get rid from smell/taste that water gets after boiling in this kettle; baking soda, dish washing liquids - nothing helped... returned it back. I give two stars for functionality, though.

Boils too long,

I just got this one form bb&b for less than 50 bucks. Filter in this kettle looks much better (perforated steel or such instead of plastic which tends to disintegrate in a few months) than in other under 30 bucks kettles I had. Overall I like it, the only problem I see is that it boils too long before it shuts off (nearby kitchen cabinets are all steamed). Usually it takes only few seconds for electric tea kettle to stop boiling, this one does it for about 20-30 seconds.
