I agree with the previous reviewer who said the brushes are too stiff. I bought them hoping to have a tool to scrub away the tea residue that accumulates in the spout of my teapot. I've tried a strong blast of hot water, filling the teapot with a vinegar solution, and even scrubbing with a q-tip, but those techniques are only partially effective.

If the brushes were softer, with some fullness on the end, they would be better at reaching the furthest recesses of the teapot and spout. They might even fit into the built in tea strainer that some teapots have at the base of the spout. As they are, the brushes are only minimally useful. I wasn't worried about the brushes breaking the teapot.

In fairness to the company that sells them, they are called "Tea kettle brushes," not "Teapot brushes." Perhaps they would be effective in cleaning a metal tea kettle. The product wrapper does show a picture of a teapot in addition to a tea kettle; however I wouldn't...Read more

The bristles are a very hard for spouts with delicate glass - be careful. they do the job. the sizes and shapes are great. Many tiny and corner areas can now be well cleaned.

I searched for years. Toothbrushes don't work. Pipe cleaners are unsatisfactory.
I looked in hobby shops; in craft stores; in kitchen and specialty tool departments;
to no avail. Then voila! I found these Online. They are perfect. My 30 plus year-old
stained teapots look new and pristine. The brushes and baking soda did the job!
