The interior nonstick LRS3 coating (an advanced coating that provides a lifetime of stick resistance) keeps foods from sticking while letting a cook reduce the amount of oil used in cooking. The attached cast stainless-steel handle hangs easily for quick storage and is made with the Cool V casting system, which keeps it safe to touch. I own 17 pieces of this cookware. I started with a small 8 piece starter set and have purchased open stock pieces one-by-one since. It is easy cleaning, heats evenly, and looks great. I thought about going to an all stainless with copper core set, but one of my friends who is a chef advised against it unless I want to spend all of my time polishing my cookware. I think this is the best cookware on the market for the money.

First off, I own 10 pieces of the hard anodized cookware and am wondering why would you (A Kitchen & Housewares enthusiast from Medford) want your set to not match? The anodized lid also enables you to put your cookware in the oven if you so desire, and it astheticaly looks correct. Now with that out of the way. I am a professional cook, and love the way these cook, evenly with less heat than if using some no name brand of cookware that can not evenly disperse the heat or hold the heat. I can deglaze, something you can not do with the non stick products, I can use metal utensils, I am not implying that you should cut your food in the pan by any means just that a metal spoon will not harm the surface (this is not the case with the non stick products, you will be eating a plastic type material with your food if you use metal in the these pots and pans over time and ruin them) and the clean up is a snap for the anodized products! the only downside I have found is that some of...Read more

The lid is not the same as shown. The lid is made of anodized aluminum. The ad shows a stainless steel lid.
