Chef's Choice International Cordless Kettle

I'd give it no stars if I could. The lid on the first kettle broke in a couple of months. I sent it back and now the second one broke. The lid will not stay shut so it keeps boiling until YOU switch it off. An even bigger problem in my opinion is the fact it is sold as an all stainless steel product. The lid is lined on the inside with plastic and it outgases the most horrible Chemical smell.

I called the company and the lady said send it back and they might replace it or they will repair it and it shouldn't cost more than 20.00. I commented that it would seem others had this problem and they would see that it's a design defect and stop making it. It seems people are not returning their defective units and just trashing them like I will do with this one and the company thinks everyone is pleased with this product.
