Concord's Stainless Steel Whistling Tea Kettle Teakettle

Comment: I recently moved out on my own and recieved this as a present. Its good, heats the water and all that and cleans up well with a nice shine. My only peeve with it is there is no way to get inside of the thing and clean it of all the milky stuff that accumulates at the bottom of any kettle. I've put salt and baking soda in and poured in vinegar and that got some of it off but it looks like rings now. Good for a first time out-on-your owner but I would definitely like a lid. Good size for two to three cups of tea and stays warm well after taking off the flame. I have no idea why the pictured kettle is so tall, mine is maybe about three inches tall, good enough for one person and would probably serve two. More company? May I suggest a tea maker? (Also known as the American coffee machine). Although then you get that filmy muck on the top if the tea sits too long, yech.

Comment: The kettle I received is much shorter than the one pictured. Since the whole reason I bought it was for very large capacity, this does not "fit the bill". It's a well-made gleaming mirror-polished bit of stainless steel retro-styled kitchenware for a great price, just not quite what I thought I was ordering. Two liter capacity.
