I never thought I would let plastic touch my Queen Anne style table, but this trivet, with what is arguably Corelle's most attractive design, a simple sprig of iris, is so attractive -- and so unbelievable useful considering I am using an entirely glass teapot -- that I have entirely changed my mind. If you want delicacy mixed with practicality (the trivet is on three legs spreading out from the center), this is the purchase for you. Absolutely lovely!
