I bought this piece along with a twenty piece Thymless Herbs dinner ware set. It matched the design on the plates and it serves its purpose next to the stove for placing your dirty cooking utensils. The only thing I did not expect was for it to be made out of plastic. Ceramic material would have made it feel more like the rest of the set of dishes but I guess being plastic helps with the durability incase of an accidental drop.

Very nice appearance and function but not happy with deeply embedded darkened burned area from being next to burner. Fortunate this did not cause fire.

I originally bought this spoon rest because it coordinated with the burner covers I purchased. The burner covers didn't work out (they didn't sit flat on the stove) but the spoon rest is a keeper.
