Summary: Just basic tea kettle 2010-01-02
Comment: We purchased this and had no problem with design, looks, etc. It whistled fine, but the problem turned out to be a leak along the seam. We did not discover this til after a week when we noticed the sound of the water hitting the burner, and then I tried special epoxy to seal the seams and that just made a mess. Sooooo, I would suggest you try this out right away to check for leaks. Since the first one was a mess and we couldn't find anything like this locally, we ordered another one. This works fine, no leaks, whistles fine and we whistled happily ever after.

Summary: Sort of whistling tea kettle 2009-10-20
Comment: I bought the tea kettle to replace an old one. The new one is not as sturdy and really doesn't whistle. The closed top does not close as tightly as it should. You hear sort of a whistle and see a lot of steam coming from the top. It serves its purpose of boiling water for tea, so I kept it.

Summary: Trash 2009-09-02
Comment: A true piece of trash. I purchased what was described as a whistling tea kettle, but the thing doesn't whistle.
I wanted a kettle that whistled to remind me to go fetch it. If it doesn't whistle, I could just as well use an ordinary sauce pot and make a mental note to check it after a few minutes.
In addition, the thing is difficult to fill from a normal faucet. The handle gets too hot to hold before the water silently boils.
I'd give zero stars if that was an option.

Summary: OK basic kettle, but awkward spout to fill water 2009-04-28
Comment: This kettle is what you can expect for the price - a basic, sturdy design that will boil you water. Only downside is the spout/cap is constructed so that you have to hold the kettle at an awkward angle at the sink to fill it up with water. Other than that quite serviceable.

Summary: The little blue tea pot 2007-11-21
Comment: I bought this for my Mom as one of her birthday's gifts. She uses a tea kettle everyday. She loves it!
