This review is from: Farberware Classic 2 Quart Steel Teakettle, Black (Kitchen) Awhile ago, I put a kettle on for tea, and fell asleep. Fortunately, I awoke before any harm had been done. That's when I realized that I need a whistling tea kettle, one with a whistle loud enough to awaken me before the water burns away, and the house catches on fire.
In order for the whistle to be loud, the cap over the spout has to close tight, and on the Farberware kettle, it didn't. The whistle was merely a whisper, instead of a shout. Not satisfactory. The handle does stay cool, but that alone doesn't warrent purchasing a kettle that has so many other flaws. I purchased mine on Ebay, and from the same seller selling these, the Pricebully. I have to admit one good thing and that is the way that Pricebully works with their buyers. They are sending me a postage paid label and a full refund no problem. Unfortunately, they don't test products and likely it would void a credit for them, so I don't...Read more |
