Summary: nice classic teakettle 2010-04-24
Comment: It works pretty well, cleans easily, good size for the amount of tea I want to make. I sometimes have a hard time getting the spout cap to open when pressing the lever; maybe because it's still new or I'm a weakling. But for the price I think it's a good product.

Summary: Just what I am looking for 2010-03-04
Comment: My old tea kettle is falling apart. I dropped it a while back, so that it no longer whistles loud enough when the water is boiling. As I result I often boiled the water almost completely away, wasting energy and water. So I decided to buy another one that is similar to the old one I have. This tea kettle is very similar to my old one, with a lid that I can remove to fill the kettle, a plastic handle and it whistles when the water is boiling. The metal of this one is quite thin, thinner than my old one. Hopefully it will last. So far I am happy with it.

Comment: My daughter needed a tea kettle, they were using a sauce pan to boil water. So this was a gift. Just an "I love you" gift. When this pot is on the stove the whistle is always engaged. Just what they need at their house. Because I hate to tell you how many times they put water on to boil and forget. They are all very happy with it.
