Amazon.com Review
This gleaming teakettle brings 2-1/2 quarts of water to a boil under the attractive curve of its dome, which is complemented by the curve of the nearly round handle for an elegant touch. The handle is synthetic (to stay cool) and slightly textured, a combination ensuring safe, comfortable pouring. Because the teakettle is made of highly polished 18/10 stainless steel, the beauty of its gleaming mirror finish is long-lasting. For convenience when filling the kettle or pouring, the spout's cap is spring-loaded, with the trigger opening the cap located inside the handle. The cap contains a whistle that signals when the water boils. --Fred Brack
Comment: Whistle loud enough for my half deaf husband to hear. Easily filled & cleaned. Can't beat the price.

Comment: This is a fantastic whistler. No matter where I am in the house, I hear it. I find my cats sitting in the doorway of the kitchen wondering from where that whistle is coming. I would highly recommend this product.

Comment: This teakettle does everything you expect it to. It boils water and it lets you know when with a whistle. Simple as that. I imagine other kettles with a copper bottom might get the water boiling faster, but this one does just fine. It is also quite good looking. The fit and finish is great, and the design seems like it will hold up to some use. Can't say how long since I have only been using it for a month, but I am very happy with it so far. Handle, trigger, and spout perform flawlessly. Handle keeps its cool, and the rounded design keeps your hand from getting scalded when pouring. Overall you can't go wrong with this teakettle. If you are reading other reviews about kettles with handles that get hot, and whistles that leak and spray water, etc., then buy this kettle which has none of those flaws.

Comment: Handle is hot to touch. You would need towel to hold handle. Whistle got lose during first week of use. I would not recommend this.

Comment: My husband really wanted a whistling tea kettle one year and this was the best priced one I came across, to make things even better the stainless steel design matches our other kitchen items.
Its lightweight but seems built well, the handle doesn't get hot, like the little handle that you push to open the lid in the front to pour the water. The one bad thing about it is that after a couple of years of using it now and it constantly sitting on the stove its not shiny anymore, its got more of a "brushed" stainless look, still works fine so I guess that's a minor detail. My husband and guests still use it fairly often so its holding up well.
Think you'd be pleased with it.
