Made from enamel over steel with stainless-steel accents, the 2-3/4-quart vessel features a squared dome body and broad base for both a modern geometric look and rapid heating. Summary: Made by EVCO not Farberware - Beware 2009-07-23
Comment: This product is licensed to Evco by Farberware to use their name. So no help from Farberware and they were unconcerned about the issue to follow. Phone number and email were wrong for Evco that Farberware gave me. Finally Amazon was able to find a Tawain phone number and email. I just sent the email so we will see if they get back to me. After one year, almost to the day, my black kettle started having black flakes coming off of it in my water. Unfortunately I did not notice when it started since I drink loose leaf tea. My family and I were ingesting this for an unknown period of time. Another reviewer noticed the same thing with a different Kettle with the Farberware name. I have no idea if this is bad for us and my guess is they probably wont either. The kettle is now headed to the landfill. So sad. Sorry mother earth.
