It's a beautiful kettle that does a great job boiling the water quick! It's stainless steel on the outside and inside, but it does have one plastic part that sits above the max water line (ie it never gets covered in water) so I am willing to compromise on that for the design + quality. It's worlds better than the prior kettle I ordered (Hamilton Beach 40898 Cool-Touch Cordless 8 Cup Electric Kettle). You'll love it!

I bought this kettle for style, which is delivered, but it stopped turning off automatically after one month. As that is the most important reason to buy an electric kettle I was disappointed, and felt like a fashion victim! Wouldn't recommend.

Heats water quickly and handle stays cool. Overall, I really like it! My only complaint is that the top opens in a way that does not let you reach inside. This means I can't use to to hard boil eggs. Oh well!
