This Kamenstein Cow Tea Kettle is stainless steel covered with white enamel and with large black spots as on a cow. The front of the Tea Kettle has a cow-shaped head and a round nose acting as a spout for pouring out the water. The ears stick out and a metal bell hangs around the neck. The lid has 4-inch opening with a black heat-resistant ball handle. Large 2-1/2-quart capacity.

I have been buying cow tea kettles from Kamenstein for years. They have always been well made and last a long time.
Last year I tried to buy another and found that Kamenstein was no longer manufacturing them. I was luckily able to find one on ebay.
Last week when I saw the kettles on Amazon, I was so excited.I immediatly ordered 2 and received them today. Sooooo disappointed. They are very cheap versions of the original - so poorly made.

I have an older one of these and this new one is very poorly/cheaply made. I could not get the lid off without tremendous force (I almost could not get it off at all). The thickness is a lot less than the older one and the bottom is not covered in enamel, it is just very thin stainless steel. I ended up sending this back. If it cost a lot less ($10.00 or less) I might be willing to buy it. Because of the way it is made now, it is not worth this price.

I ordered this for my sister for Christmas. When I got it in the mail the face was yellowed and had scratches all over it. The sides were dirty and had a few small scratches in it. The stopper would not close on its own, it had to be pushed back down. I am severely disappointed in this product. Was it not so close to Christmas, I would return this and get my money back.
