Comment: The color is a little darker than I expected -- more a cherry red than a fire engine red. The whistle is nice and loud, which is good for me, since I have been known to forget that I have it on! Would definitely recommend.

Comment: Excellent quality! This is the second one I have purchased. I have had mine for quite a few years now and my daughter-in-law expressed an interest, after using mine, that she liked it so much she wished she had one. I purchased this one for her for Christmas! It is very stylish and comfortable to pour from. Great size...Can hold plenty of water! Comes in great colors...I personally LOVE the black. Worth every penny!!

CONS:
It's quite heavy, so may not be good for someone who can't lift much weight. Its whistle is very shrill, but I suppose that's a good thing, since it makes you want to turn it off immediately. Many of the reviews claimed that the handle was relatively cool after the water was boiled, but I found that not to be true. The handle gets extremely hot, much worse than the $10 supermarket kettle that it replaced. You WILL need an oven mitt or pot holder to lift this when heated.
PROS:
It's pretty.
Would I buy another one? No! There are much better kettles which are cheaper than this.
