I've had this tea pot for a few years, and have been very happy with it. Cleans up well, even after my husband spatters oil all over it every time he cooks (never remembers to remove it from the burners). It heats up quickly, whistles nice and loud, and doesn't weigh much. Go for it!

This tea kettle is great. The lid stays on when pouring. The whistle easily pulls out to pour. I have bad hands, so lifting it as well as cleaning it is easy. The color (blue) was immaterial, as I just needed a kettle that worked well on a gas stove without catching fire. I don't need potholders to handle it. It doesn't drip when pouring and is easily drained for cleaning. It was a great purchase, after reviewing several others before deciding on it.

I have tried many tea kettles and this one top's the list. First of all, it's very light weight. Second, very very easy to pour (very balanced). Third, the whistle stopper can be pulled out very easily without scalding yourself and the lid can be removed easily (but doesn't fall out when you pour). I have wrist problems (yes, the carpal thing) and I have absolutely no problem with this kettle. The only thing I would change would be the color of the lid and whistle stopper. This color blue doesn't go with very many kitchen colors, including mine. But it's a small price to pay for all the other pluses. If they ever offered another color lid and stopper, I would buy them (no, not pink). Bottom line, I highly recommend this kettle.
