Summary: Works great now that I've figured it out! 2010-07-28
Comment: This iced tea maker worked great the first time, and then I encountered a problem. I noticed that about 1/3 of the water was still left in the reservoir after the brewing process was complete. I found by brewing the tea with the lid off of the pitcher solved the problem! No more water left in the reservoir! Just make sure that the pitcher is positioned properly against the tank. (I'm not sure if this method would solve any leakage problems since I never encountered any, but it's worth a try.) Overall, it's easy to use and makes a great tasting pitcher of iced tea.

Summary: Poorest Mr. Coffee item out there! JUNK!! 2010-07-24
Comment: I have just taken my Mr. Coffee back to the store for a full refund. We had one of these tea makers several years ago it it worked about 6 month's then keep shutting of after ever cup of tea it brewed. Had to keep resetting it over a dozen times just to get one pitcher made. We pitch the thing in the garbage and went on to making only sun tea.
We noticed that they changed the design a little and so we thought maybe they fixed the problems and gave it a try., After all it only $20. Not only did Mr. Coffee do nothing about the problems but somehow went even cheaper and this one only lasted 1 1/2 months before it started the same crap. We tried cleaning it several times but still it will not brew a full pitcher like when ti was new.

We took the junk back and are looking for a different, better made brand.

Do not waste your time with this junk!
Why can't they make a 2 quart tea maker with the quality that most coffee pots are made with.
I'll tell you why, GREED! They can get these made by for a dollar and the hell with the customers!

Never Again!!

Summary: Perfect to brew decaf tea when pregnant. 2010-07-17
Comment: Being pregnant I am not able to drink soda or certain caffeinated drinks so I was excited to buy an iced tea maker. I have owned a few in the past but over time they gave way. I knew when looking for one I did not want to spend much. This seemed to fit the bill price wise. I was looking for one that would last through the summer months/pregnancy. For less than $20 I figured I would risk buying this. Risk since it seemed people either loved it or hated it. Reading the negative reviews I feared I might get a faulty machine since I seem to have `bad luck' stamped on my forehead. I have owned this unit for several weeks now and am happy to report I have not had any leaks or defects. It works great! I place 4 big decaf tea bags in the upper unit, fill the water reservoir with filtered water, placed iced cubes to the desired line in the pitcher, and turn on the unit. When done I sweeten it with liquid SweetLeaf Liquid Stevia, Lemon Drop, 2-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2) . I used Stevia packets but I found the packets clump up and stay at the bottom, liquid is best. I am very happy with my purchase and have nothing but praise for how it operates and the results.

Comment: I've had this for around a month now and have not experienced any leaking problems, just great tea. Highly recommended!

Summary: A piece of junk 2010-07-08
Comment: I hesitated buying this because it is made by Mr. Coffee, but I didn't follow my instincts. And sure enough, after the 2nd use, the plastic pitcher cracked. It's useless. Just like the Mr. Coffee coffee pots, it's designed for replacement. Ironically, I see there is a replacement pitcher for only $10.00! Mr. Coffee TM70 3-Quart Iced-Tea Maker
