This electric kettle can quickly bring water to a rolling boil faster and more efficiently than a stovetop or microwave oven. To use, simply fill the kettle at the sink using the water-level indicator on either side ot gauge how much, return the kettle to its 360-degree rotational power base, plut it in and flip the switch to ON. In a matter of minutes hot water will be ready to use for anything from tea, hot cocoa, or instant coffee to hot cereal, instant soup, noodles to boxed macaroni and cheese, instant oatmeal and hot cereals, rice and even gelatin. The kettle provides a stay-cool handle, a drip-free pouring spout, and a cordless design for graceful serving. Features include a cordless design for graceful serving, a maximum fill indicator, a concealed heating element, auto shut-off for safety, a removeable water filter for easy cleaning. Great for in a kitchen, office or dorm room.

I purchased this product for 2 reasons:

1. It was BPA free and
2. I absolutely loved the design

I have done a lot of research on this type of kettles and I couldn't find the one that met my criteria and had a great design. When I finally found this one, it seemed like it was going to be the one: modern and cool stainless steel design, BPA free and efficient. Unfortunately the quality was not there. The kettle I got was not BPA free because part of the silicone where the glass meets the stainless plate at the bottom was exposed. I have not noticed it immediately but when I boiled the water in it, I smelled it. It seemed that silicone on one half of the perimeter of the metal plate was below the plate, as I think it should be and part was exposed in contact with water. I was very disappointed, because it is a new design and I would expect a better quality control. Unfortunately, I returned it. Very disappointing. I gave it 2 stars for design.

I bought this kettle after our old one broke down. I read all the reviews regarding glass Kettles and thought that this will be perfect. It might be BPA free but the silicone on the bottom of the glass is fully exposed to the water giving the water a plastic smell and taste. Have used it for 3 weeks constantly boiling water in it and the smell and taste did not go away, tried baking soda and vinegar to no help. It has minor issues like the lid of the Kettle gets really hot so you have to be careful opening it to pour water for another pot; the mineral builds up really fast even though we use filtered water. Returned it due to the smell and taste of the water, if it did not smell we would keep it.
