Comment: I will update if it breaks.. LoL (I hope not)
Very convenient, and good for a house of 2-3 people, you need larger size if you have a bigger family.
The lock/unlock function is a good design, so you won't get hurt if you press the button by accident.

Comment: I love this water heater; I use it for making tea, or instant noodles, or soup, or cappuchino drinks. It has 4 temperature settings for tea and the 2.2 L size is perfect for my needs. It sure makes life a bit easier. I would recommend this product to my friends and family.

Comment: I've been using an old Zojirushi hotpot that had its issues. Replacing it with another Zo seemed like an expensive option so I chose this Panasonic model NC-EH22PC 2-2/7-Quart Electric Thermo Pot. It is a little smaller the the pot I was using which works out better for me. It works well- maybe better than I expected. I like how it is designed. If there is a shortcoming, the instructions are a little awkward.

Summary: Reliable and Easy to Use 2010-05-20
Comment: I use this at work on average four days a week to brew a pot of tea while on shift (I scam the carafe from the coffeemaker). I've had this since early November 2009.
The unit has a nonstick interior chamber which is not removable. There is a small dome-shaped mesh filter (stainless steel) that sits at the bottom of the pot that is removable for cleaning. A maximum fill line is indicated inside the pot as well. The electric cord is not attached to the pot. The non-plug end of it is magnetic. Just hold the magnetic end near the electrical receptors and it will snap right into its proper place. When I'm not using the pot, I keep it in a lower cabinet in the break room. I fold the cord and keep it in a nearby drawer.
I find the pot very easy to use. It really does require reading the user's manual, lest you overthink how to use it.
As with another reviewer, it takes my unit about 20 minutes to bring a full pot to a boil. It does need a little "settling down" before the unit allows you to dispense water. I have had the pot dispense with low pressure a couple of rare times, though the pot is full. Also, as the pot gets closer to empty, the dispenser will also not give a lot of pressure. Since I basically empty the pot all at once, I don't take issue with that.
There is one thing about this pot which has me taking extra steps. There are two small holes on the underside of the lid which lead to the steam vent. They hold water after I'm done using the machine. I like to have it as dry as possible before I put it away, so I grab a couple of paper towels, roll them thinly, and stick them into the holes to dry them out. That's not a design flaw or defect, really. That's just what steam does! For as reliable as this is, and for as well as it serves my needs (I really like this thing), I don't mind. Highly recommended.

Comment: I love this thermo! I can make tea and coffee right away when I get up in the morning without having to wait for water to boil. The 6 hour feature is brilliant as it saves on energy when we do not need hot water while we are away or asleep. Over tea time, the water can be kept at the temperature perfect for the tea I would be making.
