Pfaltzgraff Sphere 2-1/2--Quart Enamel on Steel Whistling Tea Kettle

My husband and I absolutely love this kettle. The handle stays blissfully cool, the pour spout is excellently designed for a no-spillage pour, the color is gorgeous, and we rather like the whistle sound. Other reviewers have mentioned this whistle sounds like a car horn blaring, but we think of it more like a train whistle. Also, my husband is hard of hearing (especially those high pitched sounds that regular whistling tea kettles make) and he can hear this kettle anywhere in the house! It is not super super loud, but definitely loud enough. Oh, and it holds plenty of water and seems to heat up very quickly! I highly recommend this kettle!

I was disappointed at how heavy the kettle is--people with arthritis beware. Also, the "whistle" is an annoying fog horn sound--not at all pleasing!!!

This is a well built kettle. It matches and fits in with the rest of my Pfaltzgraff Sphere colletion. I also like the "horn" sound cause it's different than the typical whistle that most kettles make. I had to get used to it though cause the first couple times I thougt someone was blowing a car horn. :)
