We received this as a gift and have used it for keeping our tea warm. Our tea stays warm for at least 8 hours. We just unscrew the top lid and pour the tea in. Love it because it keeps everything hot for hours. It could not be more easy. So glad my family gave this to us.

I am not one to complain usually, as witnessed by my other reviews. HOWEVER, the only way to fill this is by unscrewing the bottom and removing the container, then placing the container back in while balancing the top piece and the separate screw bottom all the while balancing the glass and making sure the silicone creates a tight seal. If you manage to master all of this, you then have to use the handle of a fork or similar instrument into a slot on the bottom, I guess while you're holding the carafe over your head. Failure to get it perfect, will result in scalding hot water running out the bottom all over your hand resulting in red swollen hand from 2nd degree burns.
