Product Review
Product Description
If ever there were a perfect kettle for making a real British tea, this is it. Can't you picture it whistling cheerily on the range in the ancient kitchen of a rustic English cottage? It 's sure to have an equally comforting appeal in your own kitchen.
Comment: I just received my kettle yesterday and definitely am not happy with it. It was well packaged but when I opened up the kettle to wash it, the inside sides of the kettle had black stuff on them and scratches. I washed it inside and out and still the black stuff is there. I guess it is corrosion? But the inside of this kettle is supposed to be tin. I proceeded to fill the kettle with reverse osmosis water, pushed the lid down flush, and boiled the water. The kettle did not whistle! It made a slight gurgling noise. For $123, this kettle is not worth it. I'm exchanging it for another, hoping that it is just this kettle. My mom has had one of these kettles in the chrome for years and her's is very well made and whistles very loudly. I will update this review if the next one is better.

Summary: Very Nice Copper Kettle 2008-09-01
Comment: This is a handsome copper kettle, made in England, nice workmanship, large capacity, will fill a big teapot with no problem. I love the kettle and only have one little complaint, which has nothing to do with the workmanship or performance of the kettle. The kettle came with a little sticker of the British flag smack dab on the top side of the kettle, one of those stickers that do not peel off easily, and I had the devil of a time removing it without marring the copper finish. One of my pet peeves-stickering products in a prominent place. If you look closely, you can see where the sticker was, and I find that really annoying, considering how much I paid for this item.

Summary: Great Kettle! 2007-05-05
Comment: I have had my kettel for years and wouldn't trade it for any other kettle. I hate to clean copper. I initially took off the laquer because I wanted to use this kettle. I onlt wash it in soap and water and it has a nice patina that is attractive. The whistle is nice and loud and the water stays warm for a long time after it boils. Its perfect for a second cup of tea without reboiling the water.

Summary: Bright Copper Kettle and.... 2007-03-08
Comment: Love this kettle - it is a beautiful addition to my kitchen. Does need polishing every week or so but worth the effort.
Comment: We could not be happier with this product. For this price we expected a perfectly-made tea kettle, and we got it. We can hear the whistle clearly from every room in the house, and the spout pours precisely without any accidental drips. We like the way the copper color mellows over time and enjoy how beautiful the kettle looks in the kitchen. It is a sturdy handmade product that can last several lifetimes.
