Like the previous reviewer said, it is very beautiful and fits into most decor. You have to be careful in maintaining it though; the instructions say to thoroughly dry the kettle as soon as you're done to avoid rust in the interior (a hassle if you ask me). Also, my major gripe is that the spout drips when pouring --- a dangerous thing since we're dealing with boiling water. All in all, it's an okay kettle, not greatly designed. I will probably keep it just because it looks nice on my stovetop. But my quest for the perfect teakettle continues! 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Villeroy & Boch Cottage Kitchen Teakettle (Kitchen) Beautiful. Worked well for 2 years, however, now the handle is leaking water and I've noted rust along all sides where the handle is attached to the kettle (opposite spout side). I admit, I did not dry it out after each use (used daily). The screws that hold the handle don't come through to the interior so I don't know why not drying it out would cause rust and leaking. 3 of 4 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Villeroy & Boch Cottage Kitchen Teakettle (Kitchen) This teapot is gorgeous. It's one of the prettiest I've ever owned. It looks so good on the stove that you feel it should be on display somewhere
else. It is smaller than the teapots I usually own but for something this beautiful, I've kept it and am using it just fine. |
