This is a good heavy tea kettle. I got it to sit on the woodburning stove to evaporate water into the air. My old one finally rusted through after many years, and this seems like it will be a good replacement for it.

This is great as a decorative peace, however not so good as a functional tea pot or humidifier. We use ours on our fire place insert as a humidifier when the fire place is going. It rusted out rather quickly even before I refilled it a sencond time. Buy with caution! I will be replacing mine with a copper or stainless still tea kettle soon.

I was looking for a tea pot large enough to hold alot of water so it can last awhile on wood burn stove. This works well. It steams slowly. I hardly have to replace the water too often plus it looks great on my wood burn stove.
