We soon found out that both the lid and the whistle part need to be shut tightly in order for it to whistle. It's a nice whistle, not too loud. 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: KETTLE WHISTLING TEA This kettle does the trick. It boils water nicely. It's also not so bad to look at- very simple in design. The only issue is that it doesn't whistle that loudly when it's reached boiling point... aside from that it's a great item. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: KETTLE WHISTLING TEA I got this same tea kettle at wally world for around 8 bucks..not in a box or even plastic...dont know what thats all about...but i think mine is smaller. The bottom is very thin but...it does its job ..the whistle is kind of weird..not loud..but thats fine with me...i like it...its nice how the handle folds out of the way so you can fill it easy ....mine looks more polished on the outside than this picture...almost chrome like. It works fine. A tip for you all....stainless will get white spots on the inside bottom ...thats common to even the most expensive stainless steel...i have stainless cookware and it does that....the cure is a little white vinegar...swish it around when the pot is warm and they will vanish. |
